The Poli Sigh podcast began as an idea in 2017 when Owen started his PhD program in political science. The motivating factor: How to connect poli sci academics to everyday people?

Many political scientists conduct research that has direct implications to everyday politics, and it's our job to help them reach you. Through our show, we offer scholars an outlet, and give listeners tools in a world, that well…often times makes you just want to sigh.

Each episode we interview a political scientist to get their story, hear what they're researching, why you should care about it, and what you can do.

It’s but one of our ways of "poli trying" in trying political times.
